In an interview to the H3 Podcast she explained to the interviewers that her maternal grandmother had took care of her in the slums to the age of three. Her adoption was to Kenneth Taylor an American expat as well as the couple's daughter Eden. Poarch claimed that she was employed on the family farm over a period of 10 years.
